Okay, here it goes..I have the goal set on myself to loose 30 pounds by the end of July. I've been drinking nothing but water, eating 3 meals, and 3 snacks a day, and exercising 5 days a week. Do you think this will help me reach my goal? I'm eating a variety of healthy foods including fresh fruit and low calorie snacks. I'm really trying hard to reach my goal. Is this a good goal and do you think that I can reach it but July?

Your plan sounds sensible and should succeed. 30lbs in 6 months is quite reasonable. Good for you!!!

Keep your metabolism burning. This means eating every 2 1/2-3 hours. Eat 3 meals and 3 snacks. Try to have it all eaten by 7 PM. Drinking lots of water is definately smart and necessary. Try to avoid salt. If you eat correctly, you will loose the weight. Exercising 5 days a week will be hard to keep up. I try to do cardio every other day and then a little bit of lounges, squats, band resistance and ab work on the the alternate days. I also take one day off a week.

Don't worry about when you reach it. Just do this( It was in the Muscle magazine I read yesterday at supermarket)

1. Frequent but smaller meals -- Avoid body going into starvation mode and of course eat good foods
2. Ab work 2 times a weak
3. 1 hour or 30 minutes of cardio everyday or every 2 days

That's all there is to it. I'm doing this now and it's working
To speed up the metabolism you need to not let it go into starvation mode. so eating breakfast at 7 am , then lunch at 1pm is too far. eat more frequent

I personally like to stay clear of a weight goal. Scales do nothing but bring you down. Rather go by how you clothes fit or by body measurements.

Measure you waist, thighs, bust, arms and such. Measure them every month and you will see a change more representable, compared to going just off of your weight.

I dieted and worked out 6 days aweek for about 2- 2 1/2 hours each time for about 3 or 4 months and changed weight by 5 lbs. Instead now I took a picture in my underware and keep taking them every couple of weeks. It looks like the lbs are melting away even though it isn't showing it on the scale.

You have the perfect routine it sounds like. You could also track your calories & fats, you may be surprised that you are eating more than you think. A healthy weight loss is 1 to 2 pounds per week so July is plenty of time to get there. Good luck.

i dont truly know if that would work but i've done weight watchers for 6 weeks and lost thirteen pounds. oh and without ever excersing, though they say that helps tremendously. weightwatchers is such a healthy way to lose weight. you might think its expensive but its really not. i just bought the material on how to do it for $20.00 and i dont attend the meetings, and i still lost the weight. all you are doing is counting points and watching proportions. its so easy and im not a motivated person but this was great. i think they may be running a special on the registration costs. weightwatchers.com tells you where the nearest meeting is held going by your zipcode.

Your routine sounds really good, just make sure that you do eat healthy, and do not skip meals. You should also try some exercise, like jogging or just walking outside or at the gym. Do several exercises that will help you tone your body as you are losing that weight :)
