This is my favorite soup recipe. As a matter of fact, I'm having it for dinner tonite.

CHICKEN TORTILLA SOUP

Saute garlic and medium onion, and add half chopped green pepper, til soft.

Add 1 litre carton chicken broth

Add small can stewed tomatoes.

Add about 2 cups black beans, cooked.

Add half a can tomatoe soup, not diluted.

A few dashes of Worchester sauce and half a small can of green chilies or a tsp. of green chili paste.

Add one package of cooked chicken breast slices. (Maple Leaf pre-cooked are good)

Cover and simmer for about 20 minutes to half hour.

When ready to serve stir in about ½ cup sour cream.

Season with a little salt to taste. (Doesn’t need much).

You can use fresh chicken breast as well. I find that the prepared is really tasty and cheaper ( also faster).

You can play around with this recipe, of course, as soup is forgiving. Add more beans or different types etc. More chilies if you like a little spicier. The amount given is medium spicy. I put in the whole can of chilies last time and it was fairly spicy but tasty.

i love baked mac and cheese.

boil 1 lb box of mueller's elbow macaroni
shred 2 blocks of regular cracker barrel extra sharp cheddar cheese

take a 9x13 pyrex dish.

dump half of drained macaroni in pan.
salt and pepper noodles
spread half the cheese on top of macaroni
spoon the remaining macaroni, evenly, on top
salt and pepper
spread evenly with remaining cheese.
finally pour just enough milk into dish to just cover the bottom of the pan. just enough that you can see there's some milk in the bottom, but not much.

now, bake at about 325 for 1/2 hour to 45 minutes.
MMMMMMMMM!!!!!

it's my favorite thing ever!
