I just came back from a trip to Colorado. It was my first time snowboarding. My first day I fell, tripped, scrapped and hurt my body from learning how to snow board. I went three days straight and now back at home I am really sore. Is there anything that can drastically help the soreness go away? Or any way to get rid of bruises and cuts fast?

Well since it's been more than 24 hours since the injuries, soreness is best treated with warmth, so take a warm bubble bath or go in a jacuzzi or get heat pads for your muscles. You could do this for 20 minutes upon waking up of if you're feeling particularly stiff. Icing is best done within the first 24 hours of the activity that causes the soreness. For cuts I would use Neosporin or something similar - it will reduce scars and help heal faster. Also stretch/move around (a walk is good enough) to avoid stiffness. This is what the coaches/trainers had me do back in the day when I was a track runner, esp. when I fell while hurdling (that hurt A LOT). Oh, and painkillers are good, like ibuprofen, alleve, that sort of thing if it's really bothering you.

PS. My soccer coach once said that eating protein helps muscle soreness since that makes up your muscles. Soreness is a result of muscle tearings, and new muscle builds up thus resulting in stronger muscle (that's how muscle building works). The more protein you have in your diet, the more that is available for your muscles to use to heal up and build muscle. So maybe eating eggs and stuff will help? If it doesn't help the pain go away, you'll get nice strong muscles at least :)

I don't know about your cuts, but if your sore, eat a lot of raisins...Or get into a hot tub and warm up your muscles and then stretch them out.
