I USED TO WORK FOR A CHEMICAL CO.----THE WORKERS WHO HANDLE THE CHEMICALS THAT GO IN WEAR GLOVES AND A GAS MASK TO KEEP FROM GETTING SICK ----USE A NON-PERFUMED, NO ADDED DYE LAUNDRY SOAP ---YOUR CHANCES ARE MUCH BETTER----MAKE YOUR OWN CHIPS OF IVORY FROM A BAR ---IF IVORY LAUNDRY IS NOT AVAILABLE....... PERFUME & DYE CAUSE MORE PROBLEMS THAN ANY OTHER CHEMICAL..........MANY CANNOT TOLERATE THEIR INCLUSION IN THE PRODUCT........

for some reason im fine with the detergents but I cant use anytype of scented lotions or soaps. Like body soap I get itchy dry skin and rashes. Its from the scents in the soaps. Maybe try the unscented or hypoalergenic. I never had a problem with tide or anything. I dont mean to be a B but you are using the right amount of detergent right? Half as much as you used to? If your using to much then It might not be getting rinsed out all the way wich could cause irritation

For me it is the perfume. Detergents and fabric softeners for sensitive skin usually have no smell.

All Free & Clear and Tide's sensitive skin detergent work well.

An extra rinse cycle helps too.

Also If you have to share a machine like at laundry mat or an apartment laudry room, make sure to wash ever thing that you possibly can in hot water for hygenic reasons. Ditto for bleaching whites.

Your are not sharing a washing machine with Paris Hilton are you?
OK. Sorry, I just could not resist.

You may be allergic. Are you sure it's just High Efficiency? I use HE Tide Free, and have no problem, unlike other detergents. I just need the "free" factor because anything scented or too soapy I have an issue with.

The residue left behind due to the heavy concentration of the detergent. Moreso in cold water than warm, and less with extra rinse, but it is because some of the detergent is still in the clothes.

Sounds like an allergic reaction to something in the detergent.

Not sure, but this happened to a friend of mine who had to rewash EVERYTHING......don't use it again - take it back to the store. TIDE needs to know there is a problem with that detergent.

Maybe people are putting too much in compare to what they are suppose to since the soap is so concentrated. I always buy the regular Tide and double rinse my bedding.
