I have been friends with a girl for two years now. There has always been a little bit of flirting going on between us, but we had always been just friends. She has been dating several different people and I have been dating several different girls and we share our dating stories with each other.

One night about a month ago we were hanging out together at a bar and we were a little tipsy when she dropped me off at home. We gave each other a hug goodnight and we ended up making out in her car. It was a little akward the next couple of days, then things went back to normal and we just seemed to want to stay friends.

Last night, the same thing happened, she followed me home from a bar, and I ended up kissing her goodnight.

I must admit, I can handle dealing with other women without a problem, but for some reason when it comes to her I become gitty, and feel goofy and retarded, and just dont know what to say. It is like junior high all over again.

Please Help

Dude, it almost never happens. A man will get to know a woman and decide he likes or loves her. But women seem to decide practically at the first impression: once she puts you in the "just a friend" category in her heart, you usually stay there, and if you make romantic overtures it only confuses and annoys her because she feels about you just like she feels about her female friends.

So either she has liked you all along, or you are incredibly lucky.

And obviously your feelings for her are really intense, because she affects you differently than other women do. The difference from junior high is that you should have enough emotional maturity to handle the feelings. You made a mistake about not acting on the opportunity to grow closer when you two first kissed (hence the akwardness), but she's still interested. You know whether you want to date her, but she sounds like a keeper for you.

Help with what? Sounds like you have the best of both worlds there. You have a friend and a sex partner. Tell her how you feel and move on from there. These things are only as difficult as you make them. Be honest and open and take it from there. Good luck.

This whole getting drunk and then making out thing is kind of pathetic don't you think? If she can't like you as more than a friend when she is sober - what does that tell you? You're certainly not heading for a long term romance. You're possibly building up to a big drunken one night stand after which you'll feel worse and you still won't progress emotionally.

you are not the only one that has a situation like that my sister does too! you should just tell her how you feel and if she agrees to get with you, see how it goes for at least a week. Then you will see if it was ment to be!
