Its very simple and very cheap...water with a small amount of added lemon juice (fresh). It damps down the air and makes it smell nice too. Do this every couple of hours for maximum effects;

Choccy and Huggz are both right. But better would be to remove the stuff you're allergic to from the house. A slightly-dampened dust cloth usually does the trick.

Recently I found a citrus-scented dusting spray that really does smell nice. I'm one of those people that sneezes a lot, but I don't as much as I used to since I started using it.

It depends what your house is allergic to, I would imagine.
