I've rarely, if ever, seen anyone else do this.

I also posed this question a few minutes ago, and Yahoo! yanked it before it posted. So please, answer this also...what is so offensive about this question that it would be pulled before posting?

Me thinks that Yahoo! plays favorites.

I think that it is a fair question, but maybe Yahoo! yanked it because the Christians and Muslims would get upset, since they already seem to care who may or may not answer their questions.

It seems they aren't interested in hearing responses from those with different faiths, possibly because the answers from people of different faiths could be quite different than what they would even do. I'm not trying to bash anyone, but maybe they are trying to 'weed' out the best answers.

Yahoo does play favourites they listen to those who nag about the answers they get but disagree with yahoo does read the answers i think they just yank them

also christians and muslims designate who can answer so that they can have a power trip and pat each other on the backfor theirknowledge but lack of realism

Maybe the ask-er is looking for a serious answer to the question posed.

If a Christian or Muslim has a serious and in-depth question about their respective religions then non-believers, respectively, wouldn't be able to answer the question.

Hence, specification on who should answer the question.

No idea.

Could be that Yahoo now have an automated censorship system..like pulling every Q or A that has the word ......... in it!

"Why do Christians and Muslims specify who may or may not answer their questions?" - Perhaps they want to avoid reading comments from, or do not want to see any icons either, of people that think/live differently than they do.

well, those who do such are doing wrong
we should open a channel of connection between both religions in order to make both parties understand the truth about each other

I think they are requesting to hear from certain groups because it is what those groups have to say about the issue that interests the asker.

Not that I've ever done that, but it's likely because we want good objective answers, not answers that mock and insult.
