No, atheists don't believe in God, Zeus, Thor, Krishna, Isis, Eostre, Aphrodite, Satan, or any of the other thousands of gods and goddesses that humans have invented throughout history. It is NOT true that we "don't believe in anything" or that we believe in "nothing" - we have LOTS of beliefs - gods just don't happen to be one of them. It is also NOT true that we consider ourselves to be gods - after all, there are NO gods. We also don't "hate" God/gods - you can't hate something that doesn't even exist.
Atheists don't need a god, a contradictory book, or a list to tell them not to lie, steal, hurt or kill people. In general, we are happy that those who CAN'T manage to behave on their own without an invisible babysitter are free to believe that they have one watching them.

No! They don't believe in any higher diety then themselves. The point of atheism is to basically denounce all beliefs and faith to a being that they can neither see or touch. To an Atheist, if you can't see it, it doesn't exist!
