I will be moving there really soon and would like to know about the area. The home is near camp creek parkway and the airport.

A lot of these answers are incorrect. When I first moved here a year ago thats the same thing I heard BUT later on I found out that they have their "great areas" and their "terrible areas." I live in Norcross and it's has some good areas and not so good areas but you just have to find what suites you. There are some beautiful areas and great homes in College Park you just have to do a little research. Good Luck!!!

Atlanta, like any major city, has a lot of dangerous places to live, and College Park is one of them.

The crime index for this part of town is 881.6, and the national average is 325.2, so that gives you an idea of how much crime there is. (A higher number means more crime). I used to live in Atlanta, and traveled through College Park quite a few times. On one occasion I witnessed a man breaking into a car. Another time, I heard gunshots, and I stopped going through that part of town.

Fortunately, this means that housing there is relatively cheap, but my advice would be to find another place, before it's too late. Good luck with your move.

It is a real bad place to relocate to. You should consider moving to Douglasville instead. It is not to far away but, it is a total different world than College Park.

It is a nice area. It has a lot of nice homes and schools. It also has a lot of new shopping areas. the value of this area has increased tremendously over the past five years..

Is it too late to change? Like another poster said, there are no Colleges, nor Parks.

Good luck!
