If you are really a fussy eater and not just being silly...!
Taste test new products when they come out, Large supermarkets have days when they give out samples. That is a beginning. Try reading the labels before purchasing. You can avoid a bad experience by checking out the hidden seasonings. That garlic and other flavors can sneak up on you.

You can always email or write to the companies, or call for that matter, and tell them just what you said. Tell them you are a really picky eater, and want to try their product out before buying it. Ask if they'll send you a free sample or a coupon.
Most companies will do it.

I am assuming you mean at a restaurant...simple, ask the waiter for a sample of something..usually a chef is more than happy to send out a spoonful of sauce, and can talk with you about the preparation of the dish..warning do not try at mickey d's or other fast food places...you will just give them a good laugh!

Well, at most Deli`s they let you taste the food, to see if you like it. Or go to Costco (or Sam`s Club or some other Wholesale food store), they have tons of samples.

"buy" and "free" are usually not in the same sentence. I don't know of anywhere that just gives food away. Buy small portions until you know if you like it or not, then make the decision to continue buying it.

First, if you want food for free you will have to go to the local food pantry. Second they generally want proof of income to insure that you truly can't afford to buy food. Third if you can't afford the food, you can't afford to be picky about what you eat. Eat what they give you and live with it.

Trader Joe's has a great return policy. If you buy something and you don't like it, return it with your receipt for a refund.
Not exactly "buying for free," but close.
