Take ice cubes and place them in a wet wash cloth. Put your injured finger in there right away. It will help prevent it from blistering. Later, put some Aloe lotion on it.

Make sure you wash your hands thoroughly first of all. Dry your hands and rub plain old fashioned yellow mustard all over the burned part of your finger and wrap with a bandage. The vinegar in the mustard will act as an antiseptic, and honestly--the coolness of it right out of the fridge feels great. :) You can reapply the mustard as often as necessary, but mine stopped hurting by the next morning.

WARNING: Whatever part of your finger the mustard touches will be stained yellow, but once the burn heals and you no longer have to put the mustard on it, it will eventually wash off. Takes 3 or 4 days to be completely gone though.

First, try not to do that in the future.

Second, put it under cold running water for a couple of minutes. Use a little dish soap to get the rest of the oil off. You can ice it after that if you want.

Scream first while throwing your hand under cold running water. Wash up, and put some Neosporin with pain reliever on it. Loosely wrap it with gauze. Take a couple Advil. It'll take a while, but it'll get better.

I once accidentally plunged my hand and arm in a deep fryer. Keep that sucker as cold as possible and do NOT put butter or oil on it like the old wives' tales.

I believe the usual proceedure is to scream out "AAAAAAARGH F***!!!!!!!!!!", then stick the affected finger under a running cold water tap......... may sometimes help to use an ice pack (stick the ice in a plastic bag, rather than anything made from cloth so it doesn't stick to the flesh).

If it's really bad / starts to blister, seek medical help.

Put it under cold water for 10 minutes. Don't put ice on. If ti bothers you for a day or 2, go to the doctor.

Scream out in pain and seek medical treatment. The boiling oil should kill any germs or chemicals from your finger. But it's smart to throw it out and start over if you are serving others.

i think your supposed to ice it immediately. wrap some ice in a thin towel and stick it on your finger for a while. if that doesn't work, see a doctor.

Are you asking what to do with the oil, or what to do with your finger??

If it's your finger, and you have blistering, loss of sensation, immobility, sloughing skin, and/or severe pain, then get to the hospital.

As for the oil...it should still be OK.
