Carbs are not bad for you. Your body needs carbs for energy. You want to stay away from refined sugars and refined grains which provide little to no nutritients. Whole grains are very good for you. Brown rice, whole wheat bread, whole oats, whole wheat pasta, etc.

Because, people obsessed with weight loss dont always look for information and they give bad advices.
There's something you should know, there are two types of carbs, Good ones and bad ones.
Good ones are the ones with a low glycemic index (Glycemic index is a ranking system for carbohydrates based on their immediate effect on blood glucose levels. It compares carbohydrates gram for gram in individual foods, providing a numerical, evidence-based index of postprandial (post-meal) glycemia. The concept was invented by Dr. David J. Jenkins and colleagues in 1981 at the University of Toronto.) And the bad ones are those with high glycemic index.

Bad Carbs you should avoid: SUGAR and all forms of it, fructose added to processed foods, non whole wheat bread.

Good Carbs you should take in those six servings: Oatmeal, whole grain bread, all bran cereal.

Extra Advise: Go always for organic, non processed food!
