I often eat breakfast ceral, such as Special K or Kashi GoLean, for dinner. Is that bad, considering I am trying to lose weight? I know your supposed to eat the majority of carbs earlier in the day, but sometimes the cereal box just looks so tempting. =] Will eating like that ruin my diet?

Thanks!

If it is unsweetend and served with no-fat or skim milk.
Why not? Occasionally it should be fine.

Most cereal companies, like special K, etc. actually promote replacing meals with a bowl of cereal. The cereals you've mentioned are great, but just make sure you're getting all the nutrients you need. I always take a multi-vitamin while dieting. Just make sure you eat early, most diets say don't eat dinner after 6 or 7pm depending on your bedtime, as your body is more likely to store the carbs you eat later as fat.

Probably not the greatest thing in the world. But once in awhile, no big deal. You should try a salad and every day, mix up the ingredients so at dinner time, it is more appealing. Remember, you are just trying to take the edge off and if you eat something tasty and eat slowly it will work for you. Hope this helps! Chris

Music makes you eat more. According to a work by the journal Psychology as well as Marketing, soft, classical tunes encourage you to take time over your mealtime, so you consume more food. So, switch off – silence is likely to make you more aware of what you’re adding your mouth.

if you are trying to lose weight and preserve as much lean body mass that you have you should be lowering your carbohydrate intake and increasing your protein and healthy fat intake.

if you insist on eating cereal for dinner then eating whole oatmeal would be optimum for weight loss. processed cereals are not healthy regardless of what the "manufacturers" claims may be.

I was eating Special K until I read the ingredients. It has stuff that will kill you like hydrogenated oil and high fructose corn syrup. Try oatmeal or Shredded Wheat instead.
