Daniel patriotic? To what?
Daniel was patriotic toward God's people... and what that meant to him was personal to him...
Daniel followed God regardless of the nation's interests.
Daniel was brave, and stood against the governments of his time, even when he was the only one doing it.
All except Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego bowed down to the image of the king at the governments orders.
Daniel was loyal to God over all things, and is one of the two only prophets in the Bible that has no recorded sin listed for them.
I love Daniel, and he is a role model for all of us today against the Godlessness of our government and people.
Never give up! Never surrender! Obey God to the end!
Peace to you.

Daniel Boone was quite the patriot. He made new settlements in America and fought in the Revolutionary War. Not sure if that is the Daniel you are asking about.
I know why you areasking about Daniel Boone in the R & S section. He may have been turned off from religion due to the controversy over his pregnant sister marrying someone outside the Quaker faith, and his brother married a non-Quaker also. The Quakers made his family leave the community afterwards. However his mom kept going to Quaker meetings with her kids.
His religion really doesn't have any bearing on his Patroitism.

No. He was not. Not in the sense that he offered blind obedience to his ruler, King Nebuchadnezzar. Refusing to bow down to an image on instructions of the King got him thrown into a lion's den.
He followed the believe expressed by some of Jesus' followers at Acts 5:29 that 'we must obey God as ruler rather than men."

Daniel, Noah, Job( HIs wife called him crazy and told him to curse God) definitely set very good example. They dared to tell the truth, eventhough people around them made fun of them. Those who "say cat is cat" eventhough epolpe think they are crazy and they can be punished definitely can be called patriotic.

Why ask the question? I think he was patriotic, but moreso he was firm in his belief. If that makes one patriotic then he was on top of his game.

Sure he was. It wasn't Nebuchadnezzar he was supposed to have allegiance to, it was Israel, his homeland and he did. He always put his homeland first and his people's God first while still upholding the laws of Babylon.

No, not down deep inside. On the outside I think he had to appear like he did.
