According to this http://en.allexperts.com/q/Dogs-701/Training-Yorkies.htm , Yorkies may be a bit harder to train.

However, I had Yorkies for years and I didn't do anything differently than I did with my other dogs.

My mother has an extra-small Yorkie and didn't train him any differently than her other dogs. You have to take them outside very often though because of their tiny bladders. Be consistent, always praise good behaviour.

Where did you get it. A toy dog from a good breeder will not sell them until they are 12 weeks. He's very young. When I got my silky, a got a book about them. You should pick up a book on Yorkshire Terrier, and read about them

With love and positive reinforcement. And, you have a small dog, so never use a choke chain. Use a harness instead of a collar as well, broken trachias (the throat area) are one of the most common causes of death in small dogs. Let the shoulders absorb the pull of a leash instead of the throat.

Good luck. Treats work.

Rewarding good behavior helps, but that's not really a "special" way fo training...it's pretty normal.

Start with crate training.
This will give her a safe place to be. It becomes her den, her place to go to, and she will use it for life - with the door open or shut.
