Consider this...

God is eternal. Eternity is essientally the absense of time. So God is not bound by time.

We are.

So, since God is eternal, every moment that we perceive is merely 'now' to him.

Right now, God sees what we are doing, what we've done, and what we will do, all right now.

From point A to point Z, it is all how we perceive 'now.'

Really, with God, there is no 'seeing into the future.' Why? Because there is no future with God, only now.

That's why he is the I Am. Not the was or will be. He is. He is eternal.

When you understand this concept some of the biblical ideas makes more sense.

Consider in the future you decided to kill someone. You made that choice right now from God's perspective.

Everyone who rejects him or obeys. They are doing so right now from God's point of view.

Right now God sees begining and the end. There is no past or future with God, only 'now.'

Only a God could have such a perception.

Agree or disagree?

"Time" is a concept of man. Passage of time is just us passing through the 4th dimension. And forever/eternity is all of time not the absense of it. If you exist out side of time then duration doesn't occur for you at all. That is all there is to it.

- still, to exist outside of time would render us eternal since decay relies on time. Also to exist outside of time one would see this reality as a ribbon. From begining to end. All at once, moment to moment.

ya?

Pretty much agree. God is to us as George Lucas is to the characters in Star Wars. They exist on film. We exist in time, and God exists in (or beyond) hyperspace.

I think most people's perseption is that God knows our future so no choice is truly our own. I think I disagree. God can see us off track and knows our future from that point if we don't straighten up. But then he rejoices when he sees us back making the right choices and then we have a new future. He knows our future in the sence of consequences to our actions. It is not a definative future. But Yes I agree with the whole eternal thing. And if we live righteously we too can live eternally.

Not 'a God' the one and only GOD can do this. That is why we have to live life as if it was the last day and not worry what tomorrow has for us, because that is only for God to know. That is why we have to trust and depend in God and put or life in his hands. He knows exactly what we are going to do from the moment we are conceived, that is were the 'now' part comes in. So yes I agree that God is 'now' and always will be.

We are all energy and therefore eternal. Although it may seem we are bound by an earthly body, this is an illusion. I guess God(s) could exist, in the realm of all possibilities, but they would be forms of energy as well. We are all ebbing through time and space together.

wow, that an interesting way to look at it.

I've always thought being eternal would get borning because you are lasting all of time. every second that ever was.

If it all happens at once I guess it would be so bad. you never get time to be bored because there's no past or future just the now.

Eternity sounds really boring after a while. I feel sorry for an eternal, can't die being.
