Christians do not hate you for being an Athiest. Our only feelings about Athiests are sympathy, and we get offended when you want to take traditional references to God off of everything that has been there for 230 years.

Other than that, this is a free society where you can believe whatever you want.

Religions in general are all scams! There are all sytems set up to try and control people and their finances. There are many religions in the world, all of which have a system of good works that its adherents must follow and maintain.

Take a new look at the Bible, read it for yourself. The Bible isn't a book about religion. I challenge you find one, just one Bible contradiction. You won't find any because it is a perfect book. The Bible isn't a scientific book, but in every area that the Bible deals with science, it is 100% accurate. The Bible is the exact record that God wanted mankind to know about Himself.
Please understand, Christianity is not a religion; it is a personal relationship that you can have with the God of this universe. God loved you and me so much, that He sent his only Son Jesus into this World. The difference between religions and the Bible is this: Religions all say "Do this for eternal salvation." The Bible says, "There is nothing you can do to earn eternity, it is already done for you." What do you mean it is already done for me?

What if there is just Judge who will hold you accountabile for every thought and action in your life?
What if that Judge was perfect, and He demanded perfection from you? How would you measure up?
None of us are perfect, and you would be in hot water.
What if the punishment for not keeping the laws of this Judge was death?
What if I told you that someone took your punishment for you?
What if Jesus Christ was that person?
If you would turn from your sin an put your faith and trust in what Jesus did for you on the cross, you can be saved from the death sentence

Consider this, every second, two people die, what if this was your second?

For some reason, you can hand them a Bible and a Christian will see a book about peace, love and equality that makes perfect sense where atheists or agnostics tend to see mythology, prejudice and contradictions all over the place. Asking them this question is a bit like asking a man who honestly believes 1+1=11 to do algebra; the different premises will result in rather different answers.

I don't hate you and that is a good question.

Is Christianity a scam?

I guess none of us will know until after we are dead.

I don't thank Christianity is all a scam but I thank it can be, is, was used by people to scam them in one way or another.

and it realy isn't as hard to strike a balance between science and spirituality. At least not as hard as people try to make it out to be.

Explain the contradictions. I've found none so far. I have found many misinterpretations however. Have you actually tried bible study?

It is not hard to balance science and spirituality.

Science is discovering the wonderful framework in which God created the universe.

Only crazy nutjobs follow the extremes. Science can never prove or disprove God. Creationists aren't right about many things either.

Quit listening to people and listen to the Holy Spirit. Only then will you not be confused.

I don't hate you.

No, it's not a scam.

Have you ever read the entire Bible? Have you ever studied it? Or are you using someones argument you thought made sense?

I've looked at more than one Bible and I have not found the "faults" and "contradictions" you are speaking of. What are some specifics?

You can declare anything (atheism) you'd like. It does not change anything or any facts.

The choice is yours, you have free will.

well, I don't hate you, but you don't seem to be very bright.
have you read the entire Bible and studied it from end to end to understand how those apparent contradictions might be explained? if not, then you might want to think twice.
By the way, I lived in a country where atheism was "the official religion". Believe me, atheism is an even bigger scam than Christianity, so don't jump to conclusions so quickly.

It is not within the heart of a true christian to hate you for this my son only to feel pity for you having faced the circumstances that have brought you to this point in your life too often young people are bombarded with imformation from opposing views of evrery stripe and this confusion can easily result in one wanting to accept the easiest path, that of denial of the existence of god for if there is no god there is ultimatly no accountability for ones actions and it is completely understandable why this course of action would seem acceptable good luck in your denial may the spirit of the one true god find you by other means and make you know his love and concern for you

I always have to laugh at you foolish people like you who expect us who know the bible to believe your statement that there are contradictions...the only contradiction is in your understanding of it..

Why does Satan fight so hard to make sure others don't believe the Bible is the truly Word of God? Do people really think we who have studied the Bible for 30 years will believe someone who probably never even read it?...people who for sure have not ever acted on it?

Do I hate you. No. What do I think about your declaration of atheism? I bet that over the course of your life that you have made many declarations that were wrong, that's just human nature, why should I be hate full to you about that. I think that a fool says in their heart..."there is no God". Why is that foolish? Because the one person in the universe that truly loves you and desires for you to know them intimately is the one person you have completely shut out. The one person who can forgive your sins and wipe away your tears you continually ignore. The one person who can save your soul, you spurn. That's what I think.
