Ummmm, common sense would be Islam! Do you know of any other religions that cut people's heads off and repeatedly bomb those who don't share their belief system?

And don't give me that Christian Crusades crap as an example...that was 1,000 years ago and Islam started it.

Any religion which promotes intolerance, superiority complexes, ignorance, and arrogance is dangerous.

Most religions today have moved away from humility, understanding, caring, and love and have instead adopted a method of encouraging dangerous behaviors.

And then each religious group tries to claim that the people who take these lessons seriously and act on them are "not true christians/muslims/etc" instead of examining what it is about the teachings of the religion that allow for this behavior.

If you are convinced that your group is superior to every other group because of what you believe and that you don't have to understand other people's lives, you have a group of dangerous, closed-minded people.

No relegion itself can be dangerous, sometimes the people that follow a certain religion carry the messages to the wrong direction, no religion advocates violence

It's a toss-up between Christianity and Islam. Both believe their way is absolutely right, and furthermore that their books are literal truth. While the teachings inherent in the Bible and the Koran are not bad or evil teachings, both books are very easy for extremists to twist into justification for their bigotry, hatred, and in many cases violence.

The gospels of capitalism and of "winner takes all" are the most dangerous beside the "religions" that deviate from their basic teachings of acting with compassion and for giveness toward the "others".

Could you immagine, if all Jews, Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, Sihks, Hindus and others, who all have been given the teachings of compassion and forgiveness, would live up to that? There would be peace on earth!!

For Proud Believer....ok you don't want an example of something 1000 years ago, I'll give you one of recent times....the ethic cleansing of Bosnian muslims at the hands of Christian Serbians. You gotta get your head out of the sand if you really think Christians are innocent. Hey by the way was it not Ivan the Terrible who would put a sword to the neck of people and say "bless the trinity with us for ages to come, or die?" Hmm sounds alot like FORCED conversion and terrorism!

it's not always the religions that are dangerous it's the people who interpret things according to how they feel that they should be as anybody can be a danger to society as long as they become fanatical towards their beliefs and intolerant of the beliefs of others

Religion is a CONCEPT. Concepts cannot be dangerous in and of themselves. PEOPLE are dangerous. I've never been attacked by a concept.

They are all dangerous, Christianity especially.

Here's a bit of god's wisdom from Deuteronomy:

"If your own full brother, or your son or daughter, or your beloved wife, or you intimate friend, entices you secretly to serve other gods, whom you and your fathers have not known, gods of any other nations, near at hand or far away, from one end of the earth to the other: do not yield to him or listen to him, nor look with pity upon him, to spare or shield him, but kill him. Your hand shall be the first raised to slay him; the rest of the people shall join in with you. You shall stone him to death, because he sought to lead you astray from the Lord, your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that place of slavery. And all Israel, hearing of this, shall fear and never do such evil as this in your midst." (Deuteronomy 13:7-12 NAB)

The Bible is rife with atrocities both commanded and carried out by god himself! Ethnic cleansers in Bosnia were only doing what is commanded of them.
