You report him to his commanding officer.

Acting on impulse--not thinking about the consequences of your actions--is exactly what got you in the position your in at the moment. Are you still pregnant? Do you plan on having the baby? If so, you're going to need the Navy's help a lot more after the baby's born than you do now. Skipping out on child support is something the Navy will NOT tolerate.

Unless he's given you AIDS/HIV, the Navy isn't going to help you.

Now, help yourself and close your legs! You obviously aren't mature enough to be having sex.

If you are having the baby then the Navy will get involved. Child support will probably be taken out of his pay automatically. The baby will get benefits but you will not. The STD is pretty much your own fault. Be mature and protect yourself. Did you even contact him after it was all said and done? As a matter of public health he deserves to be informed.

Hi, when you say an std, unless it is aids, there are very few states that have laws governing the disclosure of STDs unless they are a threat to life such as AIDS.

If that is what you are talking about, you should a. contact your local authorities about disclosure laws. if it is a law in your state they will refer you to your health enforcement agency who will act in your behalf.

Beyond that, you can contact the base commander from which your ex's sub left and speak to the office about the situation. they will at least require him to get treatment, if a law has been broken they will engage him under the military rules of conduct.

hope that helps, I would give you a specific phone # but I do not have the details in your question to allow me to do so.

If you know the sub and his name and rank - notify the Navy Department in Washington, DC and inform them of what you know. Then if you can get a hold of his Commanding Officer on board the submarine and let him be aware of the situation. He will take care of the matter....

You're really not going to accomplish anything by doing this, it's not a violation of any military or civil code for that matter. You laid down with him live with what came of it. This day and age, you have to assume everyone has something. Protect yourself. That's your responsibility, not his. If you laid down with him and didn't make him use a condom (yes I'm well aware that you can get things like Herpes even using one), then deal with it.
If you think you're going to get him in any kind of trouble, you're sadly mistaken.

the best thing that you can do is start with reporting him to call the nearest naval station and tell them what happened. the phone number depends on where you live and where the nearest one is. Good luck and I hope that you get some justice.

You need to inform you county health department of the STD if you health care provider has not done so. You will also have to take him to court for child support.
