I agree with everyone else saying to use google/yahoo/mapquest to get directions and approx time of travel. But I drive from Baltimore to NYC often and due to our traffic, it takes me about 5 hours. Now, from where I live (Owings Mills) those search drives say that trip time is about 52 mins. ** NOT **
Taking I-95 or I-295 south during certain times of the day are jammed packed or simply busy. My expected 52 min drive is more like 80 to 90 mins. I have family in College Park (Silver Spring). This is during the week-day. During the week-ends, my travel may take an hour.

College Park, MD is right in Washington DC....so by car it's approx. 4 hours to NYC
