Even if it's because they're depressed, isn't it easier for them to end their life, rather than trying to fix it?

There are always two sides to every issue. Someone who is terminally ill should be supported in their right to avoid pain and suffering. Someone who is depressed can reclaim their life, even when it sometimes doesn't feel like it. Anti-suicide is selfish with the ill and suffering, and anti-suicide is helpful with those who can establish a meaningful life.

that's an interesting way to see it. Possibly a good argument for euthanasia. Not such a good argument for suicide due to depression, though - typically these suicides are not planned out, but are more impulses of the moment, and typically if these people can just survive the bad episode and get treatment, they can go on to be much happier, and very glad to have survived. Suicidal people have tunnel vision, an inability to imagine anything except for that exact moment, an inability to see that things DO get better. Suicide is just not a logical, rational choice, and people with suicidal thoughts need help.

When people consider suicide it's usually because they are having difficulties and their decision making skills are not at their optimum. They not be aware of all their options they may feel all alone. As compasionate humans we feel a human's life is priceless, if we can save a life by giving them hope we have done something of mega proportion. Typically threats of suicide are a call for help. Unanswered calls are a trajedy. Everyone deserves to live their full life, even if they have some trouble, there is still hope.

Wrong. It is selfish to encourage someone to suicide. Telling them they are a burden to you, etc.

I would encourage anyone in pain to give their pain to God. God sent His Word and healed us of all our diseases. By His stripes we are / were healed.

When one is in great pain they should repent for not believing God cared about their pain situation. Look up to Gods Blessed Assurance, feel the pain & give it to God. I know that if I suffer pain, this is what I do and the pain disipates. Of course that is laying down and looking up to God and give God the pain. It is trusting that God doesn't want you to be in pain. Sometimes pain draws us to God. It is a time we can look for God and give it to God and God can heal us or take us home.

Suicide is never an option with God and only grieves the Holy Spirit. Except if happens because one saves the life or lives of another.

Also consider yourself telling someone to suicide or euthenasia to leave pain behind. Well, do you know the heart of that person, if that person is redeemed by the blood or not. Is that person going to go to heaven or a place of more pain. What gives you a right to kill (by telling them to kill themself) someone to leave pain here and they go to a more painful place until judgment day?

Because people believe that everyone has a right to live.

And being against people committing suicide isn't stopping anybody, it's just what you believe is right and wrong.

Good luck,

Thinking of others before the self is altruism. Anti-suicide is thinking of someone else before the self. Therefore anti-suicide isn't "selfish".

The bible says the time of our death has already been decided so if a person tries to take his own life one of two things will happen
1. He will die because that was his appointed time
2. He will not die but maybe injure himself and impare his quality of life.
Either way the control of living is not in his hands

we all suffer pain or have all suffered pain. why can't we all just kill ourselves if we want then???

because some suffer more than others??? really?? how do you know?? how can you measure human suffering???

god is in control. until yo grasp that...you will think you have control over things...and become frustrated when things dont happen how you want.

Suicide. Can you find it in the bible? Is it biblical? Do you think God condones it? All our physical trouble is because of us not God. God will take us when our body cant handle what we have. Killing and condoning killing is whats killing us be it yourself or others, speaking as former embryo.
