Whenever someone on here asks a question doubting God or the Bible, all the "christians" get so mean calling the person an idiot and stupid and saying things like "you don't derserve to live" or "someone as narrow minded as you doesn't deserve to feel God's love." What the heck is that all about? I thought christians were supposed to be nice, welcoming people who didn't judge others? Are there a bunch of hypocrits out there or what?

I know I'm gonna hit a nerve with this question, and I fully expect people to attack me on this one....just saying it in advance so you know it doesn't bother me. People can be so touchy on this subject.

hmm u know i asked an extremely polite question regarding peoples opinions and interpretations upon a certain verse. i got a good many rude comments from christians. there were only a couple which actually answered, or tried to answer my question.

i dont know why they are so rude, jesus has not yet unhardened their hearts.

Although I have seem some mean comments from people who claim to be Christian, most that I have seen are kind. I think the majority of Christians who post answers do so in hopes of helping others understand why they are passionate about their beliefs and their love for Jesus. Have a great day!

Obviously some people missed the part in the Bible about judging others.....I dont know why someone that can call themself a christian would say that to you.....but remember that you shouldnt worry about the other people....your relationship with God is something no one can interferre with, so lean on him...God Bless

You can't really say all the Christians. I don't insult ppl for doubting God's existence. You did not hit a nerve with me b/c I too find it troubling that other Christians do that. I'm sorry that you have experienced that. It's a wonder that there is so much hatred towards Christians.

This has been my personal experience my whole life. The people who hurt me the worst were all Christians, hiding behind their religion. Not all are bad, but the one's who are definately stand out. Now I am grateful I was shunned by my church because it gave me the opportunity to look at the world without the religion tainted eyes for the first time - and let me tell you - it's a beautiful world.

Christians are commonly known to hide behind their religion. From what I have seen, they are the ones who judge and talk smack behind your back, and at the same time do all the dirt.

I don't have anything against christianity, but lots of people of that faith can be really dirty, yet they are the ones who will throw the 'devil' and 'hell' in your face.

Are you at the same website as the rest of us? Most who are answering from the Christian point of view are using Bible verse or a statement based on Bible study. Yahoo Answers is also bombarded with questions that are blatantly non-questions, just intended to insult believers. And finally, in my experience it's those who don't believe in God who are using the kind of language you describe.

When you, or anyone else, questions a persons beliefs/religion, they become defensive because they also have to question. Whatever you do, don't stop. Questions are the path to truth, as long as you are open enough to accept there are many answers to one question. And, it's not only Christians that do this, but they are high up on the list.
