Ok so...my boyfriend doesn't have money all the time. He really doesn't have a job. he works with his dad. So he doesn't have to go to work all the time. So its kinda weird when he does have money; and when he does have money he'll spend it on stupid stuff and that puts me in a situation where I have to always spend money on us because he knows that I make good money. Then when he wants to do something on the weekends, I always say that I dont want to do anything because I know that I'm gonna have to pay for it. WHAT SHOULD I DO!??

It is NOT ok. Relationships should be 50/50, not 90/10! He is taking advantage of you and is obviously immature.

Dump him! I know the idea sucks, but there are other fish in the sea. You are obviously thoughtful and generous so find a guy who will appreciate it and reciprocate.

If that's too extreme, just tell him you can't continue to pay. Invest your money for yourself so it's not around to spend.

The key word here is "BOYFRIEND".

Oh, I know how you feel! Been there. Just stop paying. He seems like a dead beat. I'm sorry to say that. But you work hard for you money and you shouldn't have to spend it on someone else unless you truly want to. It doesn't sound like you want to. So stop. Tell him next time "Sure you want to go to such and such a place do you have money? I'm tapped out." You could even tell him you are broke because you are the one always paying for every little thing! It's not right.

You shouldn't have to pay all the time when you go out. It shouldn't matter if you're making more money than he is. He doesn't seem to be very mature and is not making you a priority. Most guys want to take their girlfriend out and not take a handout from anyone! He buys the things he wants for himself and doesn't pay for dates or even help pay?! When you're in a committed relationship you need to discuss money issues. I don't think guys should always have to pay for dates, but it needs to be shared more. Talk with him about this and let him know it bothers you. Good Luck!

Tell him to get off his lazy *** and get a real job. And to grow some balls! Sometimes it is ok for the girl to pay, but not every time! maybe everyother time. I'd leave him and find someone MUCH better, someone who gives a **** about his lady!

No, he needs to real job where he comes home with a regular paycheck. I don't think a guy has to pay all the time. But most guys its a pride thing and they don't want you to pay.

Ok, I used to be in this same situation. I finally did away with him when on my 19th birthday, we went to a club and I paid for both of us to get in and for his drinks. I ended up spending over $150 that night on him... For MY birthday! End it before this happens to you!

you should leave him, im all for paying for dates ONCE in a while, but not ALWAYS! he obviously has mixed up priorities if he spends him money on stupid stuff instead of on you

Why are you dating this guy anyway? It sounds like you don't have much respect for him 'cause he's lazy and takes advantage of you and your hardworking self. He has no motivation to better his situation, and frankly, there is nothing sexy about that. I say ditch him.

no it isn't right for you to always pay his way all the time.it is time for you to stand your ground and tell him that your not obligated to pay for him just because he works with his dad & you don't feel like your the girlfriend that should,it is up to him afterall he asked you to be his girl.

Get rid of this guy. I always remember my mom asking me "What does this guy have to offer you"? Sounded kind of stupid then but now it doesn't.
