In Canada it's spelled 'colour'.
I believe in the USA it's spelled "color".

colour is the first the spelling. the colonies shorten it by dropping the "u". it is called rebelling against the Establishment. the British also use " y " instead of " i ". example: the word " tire " , what goes on a car. they spell it Tyre.
