Suggestions:
1. Reward student for attending school. Something small--special meal, movie with you, small gift, other favorite treat, etc.
2. If student is open with you, have a non-threatending conversation and try to determine reason for change in behavior.
3. Determine if friends have changed or if student is exhibiting behaviors that are different.
4. Ask for help of the guidance counselor, school psychologist or principal. They might be able to help you get to the root of the problem.

Take away his life little by little. It's his job right now to go to school full time. If you weren't going to your job you couldn't live. You wouldn't have food, a bed, clothes, or certainly any fun extras in life. If he is not doing his job then he should not be able to have these things either. He has to keep up his end of the deal until he's out on his own.

Senioritis is very strong. If he keeps his grades up, ditching once in a while isn't the end of the world. If the grades slip, so do the luxuries of life.

i dont think that will help at all. if he wants to keep doing it trust me he'll find a way. just talk to him and tell him the importance of school. and he keeps doing it then punish him take away the things that he loves the most. week without tv no video games etc. and if he still does it then i have no idea. ho often does he do it anyways? cuz i remember i use to do it at least once a week, in my senior year and i graduated and now im in the university getting my law degree. so i turn out fine. that's just something that all teens experience when they are in highschool.
give him sometime see what happens. good luck!!!!

Talk to him. Give him reasons for going to school, consequences for not going. If his parents don't know, tell him if he doesn't start going back to school you'll tell them, not because you want to be a snitch but because you're a good friend. There's not that much left in the school year. Stick it out, he doesn't want to be "flipping burgers" for the rest of his life.

I was a ditcher myself, you should lurk around his school campus around the time he usually ditches, catch him in the act, and embarrass the hell outta him infront of his friends ie... a slap in the face, or take off your belt and whip oldschool style. ill gurantee the embarrassment infront of his friends will make he/she think twice next time

im haveing an analogous project myself. yet iam standard. you may desire to easily take them aside and tell them the variety you experience and in the event that they dont wont to be your pal dont get all deprest, purely get them lower back, showing them that they made a gigantic mistake. then in the event that they initiate chatting with you, purely tell them that they had there possibility,
