I have no idea but i think he might be trying to say "Thank You!"

Just kidding...I really don't know but he sounds very cute! Good luck!

That's hilarious. Not for you really, I imagine it's rather loud and annoying.

It's a matter of retraining. Everytime he barks then eats he's being rewarded for his behavior. Redirect his attention to you. Get a shaker bottle (a plastic bottle and put rocks in it), or some other noise instrument. A clicker, whistle - anything that is quick and noisy and that will grab his attention. When he backs up and gets ready to bark shake the bottle (or make your noise ). Put him in sit and keep him there till you are ready for him to eat again. If you need to grab his collar and hold him place till he gets the hang of it then so be it. The point is eliminating the instant reward for his barking. And with any training - consistancy is key.

There is no need for a treat or play for reward after he sits, you letting him eat again will be his reward. He'll get the hang of it and will figure out that he's not allowed to bark at the food!

Did you change his food? My dog dog did this after I'd changed which food he'd been having as a way of letting me know that he disapproved and would like his old food back.

If it doesn't bother you I'd say don't even worry about correcting it. Sounds hilarious. Dogs are like people you know we are all different. This is his little way of showing it. Happy eating! lol.

I'm not totally sure - He could just be really excited about the food and it's his way of saying "Yippee - My food!".

The entertainment value sounds priceless though!

When I eat Capt Crunch, it cuts the roof of my mouth often causing me to scream horrible things at my Smurf's bowl. Don't know if that helps but there you go.

Maybe a hunting instinct is coming out in him. He is threatening his food.

Have you changed how much you're feeding him? If you're feeding him less he could be angry, or if you're feeding him more he could be happy!
