practically ALL britons have passports, people who don't will be the very poor, those without a sense of adventure, those who love britain or those that live in deepest rural areas.

I only traveled outside of the UK for the first time 2 years ago i am 44 now, with cheap airfares now available most UK citizens do travel abroad, schools tend to go abroad a lot too and older people are young at heart and you find many older people flying abroad as well. I would say about 90% of UK people have been out of the UK

I don't know the percentage but all my friends, family members, and work colleagues have passports and travel to other countries at least twice a year. If that is the experience of most Brits then the percentage with people passports is going to be one of the higest in the world.

I reckon most UK residents have been abroad at some point in their lives, we're only about 22 miles from France, some people swim it!
I don't know anyone who hasn't been to any other countries.
