That would suggest that the dinosaurs didn't exist... but what about all the bones? Are dinosaur bones left here so people would doubt God and in turn, stop believing? Does God WANT you to go to hell?

Wrong, creationist do not suggest that Dinos did not exist.
Gotcha.

Did man and dinosaur live at the same time?

Answer: The Bible and the evidence say yes!

The following text is from Dr. Carl Baugh's book entitled Dinosaur: Scientific Evidence that Men and Dinosaurs Lived Together.

Chapter One

"Tracks Step on Evolution"

So ran the headlines of the Fort Worth, Texas, Star-Telegram on Thursday evening, June 17th, 1982.

The article highlighted a series of controversial points resulting from an excavation the author had directed. Did dinosaurs really die out over sixty million years ago? Were there giant humans wandering the earth at the same time as the dinosaurs? Were the tracks at the Paluxy River area of Texas genuine or had they been deliberately carved out of the rock for sale to gullible tourist?

The headline appealed to me and so the theme for this book was born. Throughout its pages, questions are answered and compelling evidence is presented to show that dinosaur and human tracks at the Paluxy River in Texas DO step on evolution. At the same time, they show forth new facts concerning the Genesis Flood.

The sedimentary rocks of Texas indeed tell a strange and intriguing story, supporting the biblical record of a worldwide flood in Noah's time (Gen. 6-9). An artifact was found in Ordovician strata near London, Texas. The stone, according to evolutionist, is over four hundred million years old yet the artifact is an iron hammer, clearly manmade. How could a manmade object have been made four hundred million years ago? What buried it in sedimentary strata deep in the heart of Texas? ( See photo page "Q" )

Or let us consider the ledges we excavated. It is Cretaceous limestone, dated by the University of Texas at one hundred eight million years. We excavated in during 1982 and, in addition to the human footprints, we found other evidences of recency. Here was carbonized material -burned plant residue of modern kind. The limestone is younger than that plant from long ago (probably only minutes younger) for that burned plant had to be burned in the middle of the limestone as it was being formed.

Our major excavation was at the Paluxy River area, four miles out of the little town of Glen Rose, Texas. Thousands of tourists visit here every year to see the state park where evidence has been brought together to show that more than a dozen different types of dinosaurs roamed these Cretaceous beds at some time in the past.

The intrigue and the mystery of this whole area has been enhanced by the many reports of human tracks, as well as dinosaur tracks, found in the strata on the area of this riverbed for more than fifty years. An eighty-nine-year-old local resident, Emmit McFall, was ever ready to show pictures and recount discoveries of both human-like tracks and dinosaur footprints. So it was on Mr. McFalls farm that our first preliminary excavation began on Monday, March 15, 1982

It should be stressed that there is considerable evidence to show that dinosaurs and human footprints have been found together by earlier excavators. One of them was Dr. Roland T. Bird from Harvard University and the American Museum of Natural History, at that time a leading geologist and paleontologist. He reported that a ledge of limestone had been ripped up in the Paluxy River area by a spring flashflood. In one of his sketches, he revealed that tracks were taken and put on display at the American Museum of Natural History, at Southern Methodist University, at the University of Texas, at Baylor University and at Brookland College. At the top of the sketch a series of human-like tracks can be seen, including a notation by Dr. Bird himself, "Single giant track to American Museum of Natural History". Thus, we find that his drawings indicate there had been earlier findings similar to those we have made in our present excavations. This has been confirmed by taped interviews with local Glen Rose residents. Charlie Moss found the first human tracks in the Paluxy riverbed in 1910. Ernest "Bull" Adams followed this trail of tracks and documented their existence. Jim Ryals and Emmit McFall found other footprints through the years. Geologist Clifford Burdick, Ph.D., verified human tracks in the 1940's. Dr. Cecil Daugherty led large groups to the prints for years. Stan Taylor, Mike Turnage, Fred Beirle, Wilbur Fields and John Morris, Ph.D., added their own documentation.

Hm. I have never heard of a single creationist that denies the existence of dinosaurs, only WHEN they existed. Things like fossilized footprints of large dinosaurs that have the footprint of a man inside of it lead some to believe they both existed during the same epoch of time. Many creationists would purport that the majority of the fossil record was created during the global flood of Noah's day. They further contend that if evolution is true, the billions of years that have passed should have left behind trillions upon trillions of fossil remains, which we just can't seem to find.

Further, I hope it's not a turn off if I cite a Biblical passage, but it says in the BIBLE that God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3.9).

Ain't it great to live in America and talk about this stuff without being afraid of getting beaten and/or killed?

There are a number of places where it appears that dinosaurs or other similar creatures are mentioned in the scriptures. Remember that the Bible was translated into English long before the word "dinosaur" was coined. However, the word "dragon" appears 21 times in the Old Testament alone. "You shall tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shall you trample under feet" (Psalm 91:13). From the context it is clearly speaking about a real creature that it would be impressive and intimidating to step on! Jeremiah 51:34 tells, "he has swallowed me up like a dragon..." which brings to mind the way many carnivorous reptiles swallow their prey whole. Both dragons of the sea (Psalm 74:13) and field (Isaiah 43:20) are mentioned. Indeed, Genesis 1:21 can best be translated: "And God created great sea monsters..." One such sea monster became sufficiently well-known to the ancients to be given the special name "Rahab" (Isaiah 51:9). The prophet Ezekiel likens Pharaoh to a sea monster that invaded the Nile river and stirred up the mud (32:2). The Hebrew word, "Tannin," is from the root meaning "to extend." The language conjures up an image of a long-necked plesiosaur-like creature paddling up the river and stirring up mud from the Nile delta with its flippers. Just such a creature is depicted by the ancient Egyptians who may have netted one just as Ezekiel describes in verse 3.

There is always going to be people who doubt no matter what. My religion also suggests(not so much a pure belief) that the dinosaur bones were brought here when god was creating the earth. He took pieces of other earths to make this one. I have no idea what creationalist believe. But God wants us to have a sure and steady faith of him and have it on our own personal experiences with him. Not by what others say or what physical evidence is out there.

Perhaps Satan or Allah or some other god created the dinosaur bones to convert people to that religion. Wouldn't that be funny?

Personally, I think it's fun to believe that today is still the 7th day, and god is resting. That makes each of god's days almost 1 billion of our human years. That would give god all sorts of time to create and uncreate dinosaurs, but forget to clean up the mess.

It doesn't matter what you prove or disprove, creationists will change their story.

A good example is the Paluxy footprints that one writer cites. These tracks have been so invalidated that no less than the Institute for Creation Research now admits "it would now be improper for creationists to continue to use the Paluxy data as evidence against evolution" but people keep trotting out this Flintstones view of the world.

Creationists don't say that. Dinosaurs are mentioned in the bible, like Leviathon. They came about during the section where God made animals. Try actually looking stuff up once in a while.

Creationists never said dinosaurs didn't exist.
Some delusional people have said that Satan implanted dinosaur bones as a way to deceive people, but that's not true at all.

you really have your sources of information all mixed up.
not all creationists are christian/jewish/muslim.
you're totally missing the fact that deists or agnostics are scientists, as well as many other lesser known faiths.
who's to say 'god' wasn't the cause of the big bang? you? some other atheist? you don't have the evidence to support such a claim, neither does anyone else.
many scientists believe in a 'higher power', and they base their beliefs on the overall structured nature of the universe.

If God did put dinosaur bones down here to confuse the masses, he is not worthy of worship and I would rather go to hell than be in his heaven. I do not believe God put dinosaur bones here to confuse people. I believe in evolution, not creation "science".

funniest explanation ive heard, " satan implanted those bones in the earth to deceive you"

however if you want to take the bible as a non-literalist. and not confine god to our idea/knowledge of time, then a day to him could be a million years. if it took a million years for each happening, then beasts made before man would have plenty of time to roam the earth and perhaps become extinct before god created man.

a day in genesis is nothing more then a symbol of a period of time passing. the person who wrote the book was moses, and he was definatly not an eye-witness to this account.
