as i have been told and realized was truly the key to any situation, if that person was like that before you met him, you honestly have no right to hold it against him. if you cant deal with it, then it is your choice to leave. you can let him know but if youve dealt with this so long already and you knew he was a pothead before, theres not much you can do. it IS addictive too. whoever says it isnt obviously has no real life experience with it, either knowing someone or doing it personally. ive never done it but i know enough people who have and they are certainly addicted to it.
the rule of thumb: men are stubborn (as are women) and will not change something that they are accustomed to and were doing before you met them. dont expect it because if you do, youre setting yourself up for a letdown.

I have answered a question similar to yours before, and the scenario I used was that a guy who was skiing in the winter Olympic games was tested for drugs. He had smoked weed for a long time but having the challenge of the games coming up he gave up smoking. He won his heat and was duly tested for drugs. He was found to have marijuana in his system and was subsequently banned from the sport. Now the important thing to notice about this incident is the fact that he had not smoked for over three months before the games and yet the substance was still in his system. Fact. You can check this out if you want to.So to finish off your question, yes it does have a devastating effect on the mind and body. It does cause memory loss and disorientation, and you will feel an awful better once you have given up this habit. I can understand that you may miss this activity, but in the long run you will feel a lot better off without it.

He is not going to stop unless he wants to. You could ask him to choose between you and weed, but be prepared for him to choose weed. Seriously.
I know exactly what you are going through. Just forget him, you can do so much better. I left my pothead BF of four years and I have never looked back. I now have a mature responsible BF and I have never been happier. Do something good for yourself and leave him.
Good luck!

A man will Not do something he doesnt want to do and yet he will do things you dont want him to do! Either exept him for who he is or leave him, cuz he will not stop, or atleast untill he wants to!
I know people and grown adults in there 40/50/60/and 70's who smoke weed everyday......It's never killed them and there not retarted or anything and there kids grew up just fine! And they smoke around anyone and everyone that walks into there house as well!

You need to drop him now. He has chosen the drugs over you for this long, He will always choose the drugs over you and future children, he is a terrible influence in your life, and people will also look at him and then look down upon you. Guilt by association is not a good thing especially when drugs are concerned.

Anybody who smokes weed that much and has that little respect for themself and the person they are in a relationship with is simply a LOSER. Dump him. Otherwise, you may end up on the wrong side of a criminal rap.

He likes weed...I've smoked every day for years on end...but really...if you asked him to stop and he hasn't then just ask him to stop for say a month...to prove it's not a problem...I don't care what folks say...weed is addictive....cause I am...

you have put up with it for a year now, do you honestly think hes gonna stop !!! And he aint gonna do it just cuz you asked him to. just hope it doesnt get any worse, like different drugs. and if you feel so strongly abuot this then your feelings dont matter to him. find someone worthy of your love.

Ask yourself if you want to go to jail with him someday. You may be completely innocent while he is doing something stupid that attracts the attention of the cops. Is he worth the risk?
