sell and donate it all, there is no need for those constant reminders. If he was so creepy you had to get a restraining order against him then you shouldn't keep anything for future family members. No need to bring bad luck on them.

What would be the differences in keeping the gift or pawning them and keeping the money. I would just give them to charity or donate to someone in need. There's older people that doesn't have family, give as a gift. This would be the a thrill for them. Visit some of them in the Nursing Home, they are there cause they got old. Visit hospital in children's ward. If you have something appropriate. You be surprised of how many faces you could light up, from some abused child.

That's a sucky situation, I wish guys didn't think that being clingy somehow makes them attractive and that primitive displays of resources will make us want them back.
I know it may sound cold, but I would keep anything of value that I want or might use, pawn/ebay/sell anything that might be really valuable that I don't care for, and maybe hold on to some of the other things as potential future gifts for my friends -or give them away soon to get rid of it all quicker.
Your future daughters may appreciate the ring, and you can tell them the story of how you got it as a lesson of what kind of guys they should try and avoid. Or you may want to trade it for a new ring, since using the one he gave you would be weird.

Pawn all the stuff and spend the money on something that will cheer you up like, having your hair done or shopping for new clothes. Would you really want to give your future daughter a ring your creepy ex gave you, no matter how nice it is?

I would donate it all. I wouldn't want to keep gifts for my creepy ex. Then you have to go into a song and dance when people ask where items are from. Either pawn them for cash for yourself for the troubles, or look into a program like Canadian Diabetes, or Salvation Army. There is a store in Winnipeg that will buy gently used and new items from you, and sell them to lower class families...

If you don't want the items, and he wont take them back. i would try to sell them in the paper, craigslist, pawn, or E-bay. I dont think saving em for daughters later is a great idea. you might regret it when your husband wants to know where they came from etc...donate what you can't sell and use the receipt as a tax write-off. If you're a minor, have your parents do the donating so they can use the tax write-off.

If you like it and it has meaning, you should probably keep it. Or if you want, take it all and put it in a box or something and put it somewhere where you can't see it for a while to see how you'd feel about getting rid of it. If you do that and you're okay about not having it then do with it what you will. But a trial would be best. Better to be able to pull it back out of storage than to have sold it and feel sorry about losing it later.

I would pawn the ring, or some places take in trades, and get a ring you especially picked out for your daughter -future daughter- I mean.. have a yard sale to make money on the rest

I think with the valuable ring i would keep it as it would be a assett to your future children, but with other bits i'd donate them to a charity as they would make some else smile instead of you having to look at the stuff!
