A while ago? How long ago?
Find the nearest avian vet and find a way to get there no matter what. From what I know, nails don't usually "break", they have to be clipped or injured. If it's been injured, you'll have to see a vet and sooner is much better than later. For now, apply flour or corn starch for about five minutes with enough pressure to hold the bleeding.
"If a toenail is broken or the beak tip is injured, bleeding can be stopped by blotting and applying flour or corn starch, with gentle pressure for 5 minutes. If available, apply Gelfoam and cover with tissue glue. Keep an eye on your bird for a couple of hours to be sure bleeding does not resume. A vet needs to assess the extent of damage. If the tip of the beak has broken off due to trauma, there may be cracks higher up. Stabilization of the beak with an acrylic may be helpful. Beak injuries may be painful and a soft diet may need to be provided until the bird can eat normally. "

I hope it hasn't been bleeding too long. In order to help stop the bleeding, use plain flour or cornstarch (the same used for baking). You can also pick up a product called QuikStop at any pet store. It's a yellow powder that helps clotting, but avoid getting this on the birds skin. You should still try to get to the nearest vet ASAP to make sure nothing more serious happend and make sure you call the vet first so they know your problem before you arrive.

a while ago???!!!! if its been bleeding hard for more than an hour, (even if it has not been) first you need to get your bird to drink some water, then put a tiny drop of honey on it, its a natural antibiotic, then cover it in flourr to keep your bird from eating the honey off. repeat this prosses when ever the flour wears off. if it gets infected or wont heal, take him to an avian vet, no matter how far it is.

if you have birds you should always have styptic powder around!!! this is the stuff that helps clot their blood faster. you can attempt to use flour for the mean time (its ok at clotting but styptic is better) but make sure you have styptic powder around for a just in case next time!
