Las Vegas was by far the best for me.
Regrettably only stayed 5 nights as there was just so much to see and do and i didnt manage to fit in everything i wanted to even though i only slept 4 hours a night.
Barely did any gambling because was too busy sightseeing.
Its near the grand canyon and Hoover dam which makes a an amazing day trip.
When i came back to england people asked how it was and all i could say was WOW.

Either of the below:
* Trans-Siberian (Trans-Mongolian) Express, Moscow to Irkutsk and Lake Baikal - the worlds largest and deepest fresh-water lake, holding 40% of the worlds fresh water!), followed by Mongolia, then Eastern China - no tour operator, just guidebooks, local advice, travelled by trains and buses!

* South West China and Tibet (5 weeks) - no tour operator, just a lonely planet guidebook, took trains and buses everywhere.

or

* Turkey followed by Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Croatia, and Bosnia (6 weeks). I travelled around Turkey on the Fez Bus - no tour operator, just a lonely planet guidebook, trains and buses...

* Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, and Lybia (6 weeks), no tour operator, just guidebooks.

Next it's Vietnam & Laos .... in September for 5 weeks, no tour operator again, just a guidebook, and local buses or trains.
