I suggest that you get your GCSE and possibly A level. You could go to university and then apply to an aircraft manufacturer. Or you could start now applying to them, for a job in the future, they will tell you exactly what you need to do. Also they may sponsor you through university. Or you could apply to join the RAF or the Royal Navy who would train you or send you to university.

well, I considered doing aeronautical engineering when i was choosing my uni courses, but changed my mind and decided to do mechanical engineering instead.. but yeh, for general engineering you need physics and maths at A level. Speak to some one who does aeronautical engineering, maybe a relative or maybe a careers adviser or a teacher. the main thing is to have a keen interest and determination! Good luck! xx

Go find and talk to an aeronautical engineer and get his or her opinion and experiences. If you have a local airport go out and learn about planes. Do web searched on aeronautical engineer"ism" and see if it floats your boat, or lifts your airfoil, so to speak. Get involved in engineering design activities .. just do what you think is fun and if it involves engineering (aeronautical or otherwise) you will be moving forward.

You need to go to university to study aeronautical engineering.....so in the UK I assume you'll need A levels.
As a minimum you must study maths and physics (to as high a level as possible in school).
