Don't get her anything 'Valentiny' - that's so not on and a girl would hate that, buy her the heart, rose etc stuff on Valentine's Day.
What really impresses a girl is some really cute jewellry. Or may be you could buy her a beauty treatment (just be careful she understands that you're not saying something... e.g. that she's smelly!) at her local salon. Or ask her girl mates what her tastes are, if you buy her something based on what she's interested in, she's bound to be impressed!

Good luck!
Lorna

Depends on how old she is. If you both are adults it might be a nice idea to just whisk her away the weekend before and take her out to dinner and shower her with flowers and tell her it is a combined birthday/valentine day gift. If she gets pissy or mad, you can always leave her *** where ever you go and tell her it is an early April Fool's gift!

Well, I wouldn't get her anything to do w/ Valentine's Day. My birthday is close to Christmas and I hate that. What does she like? Would she like a new book, a candle that smells great, a movie gift card, some jewelry? Perhaps make her a cd of songs that make you think of her.

Depends on her age. A massage certificate is really great, she could get pampered. Then you could take her out for a nice dinner or do something romantic for Valentine's Day.

You should do something creative.....a gift that has two pieces. maybe a nice necklace and a ring. and on valentines day you should present her the second half and then take her out to dinner to show the jewelry off!

Buy her 2 gifts. Save the best for the valentine as her expectations will increase after your first gift.

Wish her on my side as well
