I think the differences between carriers nowadays are very small. Everyone is trying to do more with less, and usually we the public end up with less.

Jetblue: not bad overall, but my first flight ever with them was delayed and no one gave us any explanation why we were waiting. Flight Attendants were not as friendly as I had expected from the "hype" I'd heard.

United: Sucks. Plain and simple. They have a "take it or leave it" mentality. Too bad they didn't go Chapter 7.

Delta: Used to be my favorite...southern hospitality, warmth, attentive service. Now that they're in bankruptcy they're about the same as everyone else.

Southwest: Cheap (although not as cheap as you'd think from all the advertising) and it shows. Can't stand the cattle car seating thing.

American: The best I can say is that I can't say anything bad. I hate it that their MD-80's don't have entertainment systems.

Independence Air: Out of business now, but they were great while it lasted. They had celebrities doing the safety announcements...people would laugh out loud!

In summary, I guess my favorite airline is the one that gets me where I'm going on time at the cheapest fare with my dignity still intact. Is that still possible in this day and age?

I would say JetBlue is best overall. They serve all you can eat snacks and they don't overbook their flights. The in-flight entertainment system is also a draw.

I think most of the major/legacy carriers are about the same. It is the discount/low fare airlines which operate a smaller fleet which tend to have better service. The flight attendants working there tend to be younger, friendlier and have more energy.

I don't doubt that Mormons are sincere in their faith, and I don't think that the Mormon religion is a block to being resurrected. However, I'm very skeptical about the origins of Mormonism. Joseph Smith had been involved in a number of mystical money-making schemes prior to "finding" the golden plates. He's the only person who really had access to the plates ir ever saw them physically. He had to translate them (the first time) using magical glasses called the Urim and Thummim. The original translation was lost by one of his business partners. He had to re-translate from memory and wasn't given access to the magical instruments because he was being punished for losing the manuscript. Evidently the Angel Moroni had no patience with human frailty. I have nothing but respect for individual Mormons but cannot accept the Book of Mormon as anything other than a fabricated story that has no basis in historical truth. The fact that Mormons are so secretive about the inner workings of the Temple and have a widely different understanding of the conception of Jesus and the history of God separates LDS from the majority of Christian churches. I've met many Mormons and have found them to be among the most pleasant and moral people I've known. But that doesn't make the basis of their religion correct. They've informed me, as they try to advocate the LDS theology, that mainstream Christianity is filled with inaccuracies and is on the path of destruction. I'm sorry, but those aren't the attitudes of true Christians.

I flew on Jetblue once and I would say it is a good airline, but I always use United and is always clean, ontime except if theres weather problems, which all airlines would be delayed, and the flight attendants on board are always nice to me and everyone.

I always answer Midwest. Extremely friendly flight attendants, first class seats, warm delicious cookies on flights after 10am. All this for less than American and United.

I would say Southwest because they are at least as good as everyone else in terms of service, friendliness but they are usually the cheapest.

Southwest. Fast, friendly, fun, and cheap. I don't need a lot of frills, but I need to get there on time. Southwest does it every time.
