If I want sandwiches for lunch, whens the best time to take some frozen bread out of the freezer - the night before or in the morning? Should I put it into the fridge to defrost, or just leave it out? Also, will it be as fresh as on the day I froze it?

Take it out an hour or so before you need it. It should defrost in that time. No, it will not be as fresh as when you bought it. It will be slightly tough but nothing inedible. My mom used to make our lunch sandwhiches for the week on Sunday night and freeze them. She would pop a frozen sandwhich into our lunches every day and they would defrost by lunchtime. We were kids, we didn't really care if they were tasty or not. I forget if I liked them or didn't like them. Give it a whirl.

The morning if you want it for lunch. Bread thaws out very quickly. Do not put it into the fridge, bread gets harder quicker in the fridge. You also can defrost your bread on your microwave defrost feature. Mine has poultry, fish and meat. I just hit meat and push .4 kg and it defrosts beautifully, just like it was fresh out of the oven. And if you don't have a poultry, fish or meat feature, just defrost it's about 2.5 mins on defrost! Good luck!!!

Take just the slices you need out of the freezer in the morning. Don't bother to thaw it. Make your sandwiches with the frozen bread. They'll have thawed by lunchtime and be nice and fresh.

Take 2 slices out of the freezer the night before and wrap them in cling film so they dont go stale. If it's for toast just put the frozen bread in the toaster.

I save French bread interior the freezer each of the time, yet I save it in a zipper lock plastic bag, in the different case i might want to be afraid it would want to %. up the scent of alternative meals interior the freezer. once you stick it interior the microwave the living house smells like you're baking bread --- yet do not nuke it lengthy or it receives as demanding as shoe leather-depending.

It will be just as fresh. Put it in the fridge the night before to thaw. If the slower the thaw the better. If a litle while before you're going to use it, it isn't completely thawed then set it on the counter for a while for a faster thaw.

Iused to take the bread out in the morning and make the sandwiches while it was frozen (maybe not with tomato though) and it would be ready to eat by lunchtime

I let it stand in the fridge the night before to a couple hours... I will taste good, very good actually, but there is nothing that beats that aroma of fresh baked, warm bread....
