Many people including myself and one of my sons are allurgic to Aspartame. It causes migraine attacks. In some people it causes seizures.

My son and I recently took some kids vitamins together not knowing it contained Aspartame. Sure enough, we got our migraine attacks from it. There was NO warning label!

I think there should be a law requiring a warning label for Aspartame. Why isn't there?

It's easy to miss. And not everything has the ingredients listed. That's why I think big business should take a little responsibility and put the warning on their lables. There are enough people that have this allergy....

They do not care. Their main goal is make money. They let things go until enough people sue them. Vioxx is a prime example. They pay the first few hundred people off and then when it gets out of control they pull the product. Car manufacters do the same thing with defects.
First of all, do not buy anything that says diet. Aspartame has all kinds of side effects from temporary blindness to parkinson's type symptoms. Many people think they get their ailments from 'old age' never thinking it could be something they eat, so the companies get away with it.

Because the majority of people can handle the aspartame while people like you and I cannot. It gets tiring reading all the labels too! I bought Ms. Butterworth's syrup the other day and had to throw out the whole bottle because it contained aspartame and I didn't take the time to read the label!

I would suggest contacting the FDA. They take charge of all the labelings of anything we consume :)

If you're algergic to something, it is YOUR responsibility to make sure you don't ingest it. If you're in the US, everything should have an ingredient list, and they list aspartame. Read it.
