My son was diagnosed with mono when he was 15 years old. He is now 22 and has the symptoms. The test hasn't come back yet, but they think he has it again.

once you have mono, the cells stay in your system... it can flare up again and you can demonstrate symptoms again. the cells were just sitting dorment for the last 7 years. so it is totally possible!
