Notice the inspired warning of the disciple Jude. He wrote: “Beloved ones, though I was making every effort to write you about the salvation we hold in common, I found it necessary to write you to exhort you to put up a hard fight for the faith that was once for all time delivered to the holy ones.” (Jude 3) Why did Jude write this? Because he knew that individual Christians could still lose the ‘salvation they hold in common.’ He continued by saying that although God saved 'a' people from Egypt he destroyed those not showing faith. (Jude 5)

Jesus himself said: “He that exercises faith in the Son has everlasting life.” (John 3:36) How can we exercise faith in Jesus? Such faith is not shown by words alone. “Faith without works is dead,” says James 2:26. Yes, true faith is proved by “works,” that is, by our actions. One way to show that we have faith in Jesus is by doing our best to imitate him not just in what we say but also in what we do.—John 13:15.

Yes!! If you were saved and you have turned back to your old ways, you have turned away, and not him.

(New International Version)
Deuteronomy 31:8
The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."

Joshua 1:5
No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.

Hebrews13:5
Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."

Maybe the issue isn't whether a person who is saved can lose their salvation, but rather was the person who believed they were saved really saved in the first place? Maybe it's the difference between true and false conversions. A person who was truly saved will show fruits of their salvation through the works they do where a person who was falsely converted will show it through their continual disregard of the law and sin, showing no remorse for their actions. As someone said before they will use their salvation as a license to sin.

We do good things because we are Christian not to become Christian, so our works are because we have been saved not because we want to be saved.

See the link below for more detailed explanation to which I firmly believe.

Redemption and salvation are two different theings.
Heb. 9:12 - Christ's sacrifice secured our redemption, but redemption is not the same thing as salvation. We participate in and hope for salvation. Our hope in salvation is a guarantee if we are faithful to Christ to the end. But if we lose hope and fail to persevere, we can lose our salvation. Thus, by our own choosing (not by God's doing), salvation is not a certainty. While many Protestant churches believe in the theology of "once saved, always saved," such a novel theory is not found in Scripture and has never been taught by the Church.

can a person be lost after being justified? there are 2 different viewpoints:1.we are saved by our own works or by faith and works.2.we are saved by grace through faith alone.
we don't have to judge other's faith but let us be charitable and loving toward those holding a diff.viewpoint.let us all be good.."Bereans...who searched the scriptures daily, whether these things be so" Acts 17:11.luke 24:45 stated."then opened he understanding that they might understand the scriptures.Apostle Paul set forth 3 arguments to answer the question.1.every gentile is a sinner-in need of the Savior,2.every Jew is a sinner-in need of a Savior,3.neither gentile nor jew can be justified by the law.we are all sinners(Rom.3:23) justification means to be made righteous...how can a sinful man be justified? 1.not by works but by believing God,2.not by circumcision but by the outward sign(evidence)of his faith.3.not by keeping the law.(Gal.3:11)"but that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God,it is evident, for the just shall live by faith"4.by faith alone.
many have thought James contradicted Paul but if you read and understand the scripture there is no contradiction bet.the two.In Jas.2:10 "For whosoever keep the whole law and yet offend in one point,he is guilty of all" v.14 what good it is my brother,if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds?can such faith save him? it is not a question of whether we are saved by faith or by works.Rather, what kind of faith it is that saves?Saving faith acts and obeys.James points out that demons believe the facts about God,but there is no obedient action in response to what God says.Faith always acts and obeys.saving faith is a gift from God.what if a believers sins?Rom.4:6-8 these verses show us that when we are justified, when our sins forgiven, sins is no longer charged against us.our sins are all charged to Christ and His righteousness is credited to us.(1 john 1:9).....He is just and faithful and forgive us from all unrighteousness.the issue is not of sinless perfection. However Christ came to earth to save his people from sinning.but if someone keeps on making a pracitce of sinning or has an habitual addiction to sin-such one may not
have saving faith.a true believer will not want to sin,a true believer will be disciplined. Is it possible to be lost after being justified?unbelief puts us in jeopardy.(Heb.11:6)But without faith it is impossible to please God.the word "believe"means to believe and keep on believing.it is a present-continuing tense.if we keep on believing we are secure.if through unbelief(the result of sin and disobedience)we depart from the living God,i believe we are in jeopardy.

Once you are saved, you are always saved. There is no devil in hell that can come and take the Spirit of God from you. You may sin and backslide but there is always forgiveness if you ask. We are saved by the grace of God. Read Romans 10:9.

I feel the first-class method to reply that is by way of a parable Jesus advised. Jesus talked approximately a person out planting seeds. Some of the seed fell through the wayside from which the birds of the air snatched them up. But others fell on floor and the seeds started to develop. One sort of floor where the seed started to develop had no truly intensity on account that of rocks that blocked the roots. Another sort of floor where the seed started to develop contained weeds, thorns and thistles which choked out the plant that started to develop. Only one sort of floor honestly produced a harvest. I do not feel that is announcing that two out of each and every three Christians will die, however the precept here's that one of the vital seed that begins developing into specific crops DO die for specific explanations. You are not able to say that they had been under no circumstances crops, on account that the myth says they had been developing after which died. I do not feel that anybody can pluck you out of the arms of God, however on account that of no intensity, the roots do not develop and a Christian can die spiritually, and on account that of the cares and riches of this global, a Christian can also be choked out and also die spiritually. I do NOT consider in "as soon as stored continuously stored" on account that of what Jesus taught. And instead of "No guy can pluck you out of my Father's arms" (despite the fact that you'll intentionally bounce out if you happen to had been loopy adequate to take action), instead of this one Scripture, I do not see ANY scriptures - now not ONE - that helps "as soon as stored continuously stored." Furthermore, Judas was once a follower, and the satan entered him and he fell from grace. And whilst Jesus was once educating the crowds, they determined that His teachings had been too difficult they usually started to give up following Him. Jesus requested the 12, "Will you, additionally, depart?" that means that they might depart. Otherwise Jesus would not even ask.

The Bible says that God will never leave us or forsake us. It doesn't say that we can never leave or forsake Him. Many people do even when they've once known the truth. The Bible is very clear that there is no sin allowed in Heaven. If someone who was once saved dies in his/her sin he/she will not go to Heaven. It's just as simple as that.

Luke 8:13
They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.

Salvation is not a license to sin. Obviously someone who lives in unrepentant sin has never experienced the new life in Christ and been born from above. Will we sin after we've been saved? you betcha. But someone who can go on day after day walking the same way they did before they professed Jesus NEVER knew Him!
You CANNOT lose your Salvation, if it's genuine.

The SAME GOD who will not DROP us will not let us JUMP from His Hand. We are SEALED when we are SAVED!!!!!!!

DO NOT call my GOD a LIAR, please! He gives us EVERLASTING LIFE! When does everlasting END?????

I asked a question once about what it meant when people said "I got saved," Actually I was very impressed by how many people didn't have the "once saved, always saved" outlook on that statement.

To most of them, it meant they became Christians, or entered in that path, knowing they still had far to go on that path.

Thanks for sharing your insights on the subject too.
