Hrm....I think not. If I were you I would go and look into the history of the Nation and see that they have been fighting for a long time. While I think that the involvement of the US and others has not made it much better they will still do it to each other.
The US did deal with the Soviet Union...we drove them into poverty. They broke their own back trying to keep up with the US.

The Soviet Union fell apart on its own because communism doesn't work. Iraq is different. The US isn't fighting one government, it's fighting an entire culture of violence.

Good question. Not real sure of which country the lives will be saved or if the lives saved are worth saveing. Saying those we save today won't kill us tomorrow.
