I had sex with my bf the 1st on Jan. and my period came but it was lite n its usual heavy

You can do a test, there is no harm in that just to be on the safe side. If it comes up negative then it probably is (although it is possible to get a false negative) but if it comes up positive then you are (you can't get a false positive) however if this is still not enough to set your mind at ease, go to your doctor and have a blood test done, they are 100% accurate.

most pregnancy tests are accurate however .. my niece took two home test when she thought she was pregnant.. the first one was after she was i think about 2 weeks late from her first period and it came up negative but she was having all the signs of pregnancy and was positive she was pregnant as i was sure she was too.. so 2 weeks later she took another one and this one did come up positive. since it was only on the 1st of jan that you had unprotected sex and your period was lighter than normal that is sometimes normal but i'd give it till you're at least 2 weeks late for your next period before you start to worry to much about being pregnant.. :)

If it says negative it is negative. YOu have to wait until you miss a period.
