We mess things up when we don't gain our full potential. When we hurt ourselves emotionally, physically, and spiritually. When we stop progressing, we mess things up.

There are so many ways man could mess up it would be pointless to count them all. (and even then I'd miss some) I should say sin but sin doesn't mean anything to people any more.
Good is anything without blemish if something has one mark on it it ceases to be good and becomes evil. There is no neutral things. For anything can be used for good or for evil.
That being said man messes up when he ceases to be good.
I happen to believe that that standard come from the Bible.
The action may seem harmless enough, but mountains are worn down one piece at a time.
So since man is never good (not evil) all the time we're pretty much in trouble huh?

Since the Bible says that the stars wont last forever, I believe they wont. One of my favorite verses says 2 Cor 4:18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

My personal belief is that God set the heavens/universe in motion and that motion will cause the universe to continually change. Sometimes with stars burning out, astroids colliding, maybe some day a planet knocked off its axis etc.... these changes don't nessisarily mean it's bad or screwed up, do we know if new stars are formed? Or perhapse one or more of these events will change Earth in a better way? Things like that cause me to wonder, and wondering is a good thing right?

Mentality and lying via television to get into the minds of millions. It's a degrading, but not fully destructive, function of the media.

Its not just destruction. Its damage. To the psyche, to the emotional mind, to the community, to the society...

Some things ruin whole nations without ever destroying a single house, without moving a single brick.

Man messes up when they do things based on fear rather than joy, or love.
