Because those of us who really are Christians speak the truth and when that happens, people get upset because we have stepped on their toes and their only reaction is anger. Instead of accepting the fact that we all need Jesus to forgive our sins and to obey His plan of salvation( not man's) to receive that forgiveness, they want to argue about it instead of doing what they need to do.

I really don't think people are any more hateful towards Christians than any other religion.
I'm pretty sure the Jews might just have the market cornered on people being hateful towards them - they've been kicked around for thousands of years (much of it being documented in the Bible). The Muslims have had their share of hatred hurled at them, particularly when you look at the situation between India and Pakistan over the past half century (the film "Gandhi" represents this VERY well). This also pulls in the Hindus as having been knocked around. Even the Buddhists get picked on... look into Tibet for more information on that.
If you want to be accurate, Christians are more responsible for having been hateful towards other Christians than anyone else has. The Spanish Inquisition was Christians vs. Christians. Same thing with the persecution in England, Ireland, etc. with the blood shed between Catholics and Protestants. That may not be exactly the answer for which you're looking, but history plays it out pretty well.
Even today, very few people actually act hateful towards Christians in reality - Christians enjoy far more control and dominance than some are willing to admit. Case in point: count how many politicians are Christian vs. how many are not. The overwhelming majority are Christian - and they are in control of most of the civilized nations of the world.

Christians believe in right and wrong as black and white. Liberals cannot stand standards. They believe in moral relativism and not passing judgment on behavior.
