Not neutered/spayed

It means that the dog has not been spayed or neutered.

It is highly desirable to spay or neuter your pet, unless you are intending to breed. Speutering your pet prevents more unwanted puppies added to the already overwhelming number of pets that are sent to shelters and then euthanized everyday.

Speutering also seems to improve the demeanor of a pet, and can help in breaking especially male animals of bad habits like marking furniture or property in your home.

Most dog day cares, and dog parks will not allow a dog that has not been altered, as they are considered more agressive and a danger to other pets.

Most commonly used for spaying/neutering but some shelters/vets also use altered in reference to dew claws and ear/tail cropping/docking.

This means the dog is in its natural state. Nothing has been done to it to prevent it from procreating....reproducing..........in other words, it's still capable of producing offspring.
