rifle shafts get up fast and then flatten out and then drop off at an angle. if u make a drawing on a paper. dynamic gold shafts get up fast and then apex and fall straight down. either one of these are a good shaft. they both feel different in the same set of irons and will play different. if u live somewhere that the wind blows fairly often. then rifle would be the way to go. u will hit a flatter ball that the wind will not manipulate. personally i like the dynamic gold with sensicore in them. they have a solid feel to them.

If your an 8, you will feel more secure and confident about your shots knowing the advances in rifle shafts are on your side. The Royal Precision Rifle shaft design, transfers energy more efficiently than any other shaft on the market. It also reduces vibration and increases distance. Other benefits that set Rifle steel shafts apart from other steel shafts include frequency matching that perfectly matches a set of clubs through electronic calibration. And of course the trademark stepless design that eliminates energy-robbing ‘steps’ found on most other steel shafts, providing greater accuracy and a smooth, yet solid, feel at impact.

I can say confidently that it won't hurt your game as long as you have a rifle shaft suited for your swing.
