Forest Gump? Don't know if he was christian or not. Its a strong possibility given the state, time, etc. Probably a southern baptist. At any rate, christians don't have the exclusive rights to love. Anyone can love.
Second-hand emotion? Tina thinks love is a second-hand emotion because she is confusing lust and love.
So, God is not a second-hand emotion if you follow the true meaning of love.
You must understand though the touch of your hand

After reading a little bit of your blog, I know that the l-word boggles you. But, when you feel it, you'll know it. It's just one of the natural things we experience in life.
As far as Gump goes, the movie basically implied that he was. Plus, he did go to Bubba's church to pray for shrimp. LOL A "second-hand emotion" is a made-up notion. But it made a good lyric for Tina Turner's song. Any emotion we have ourselves is obviously first-hand. Party on

Forest Gump is mildly retarded. This means he could function in the real world (hold a job, take care of himself, etc.), but his capacity for understanding is less than that of your average person. Could he grasp the concept of love? Yes...its a pretty basic emotion and it exists in all of creation.

Based on Forrest's self-discussion regarding Lt. Dan's subconscious quest for peace with God, I would believe that Forrest Gump was Christian. However, the movie does not clearly express his religious inclination.

I believe we R without love, We Try to create It. But we R dumb. I believe We have all Other emotions, Hate, Compassion, Courage, Greed...etc But Love is Mysterious. People Create It, especially With a woman, Dame She's Hot or Whatever, Compatible, They Get To know One another and Feelings Form, They Call it Love. I don't, Cause I can Do this To many Woman. I call Gods Gift not Love, Cuss he forbids me to be Perfect in his sight. Says to me ur a evil person and my son died for U, I say U wont allow me to be perfect, But U let a Devil lose in my mind to deceive me. That's Unfair. in Revelation It says that, when the devil is let out of the pit. Like there is No way to Fight the devil, Throw the Son of God up on a tree, Victory. that doesn't feel right to me. and sense Jesus is life, also the creator of death, Its like a twisted show, hes alive Again, alot of Christians R like that only seeing the Resurrection, Its a miracle Hes alive wow, How can this be, Must be a God or something. Just a Stupid show. all I see is the murder of a King. My mind and heart has studied the Cross, for 5 yrs I seeked Gods face. my Opinion There is No Love, Just nice people. and Do I hate marriages, Especially If they R not Faithful. I belive Brothers and sisters Can love one another. I have Great Love for my Brothers. Mother and Fathers For U, Not for them. mom and dad R deviorced, almost like all marrages. I know mom and dad Loves me, Its they They talk about me, that I Don't like. mom says I only Wanted kids when I meet Ur father, and now I have some one New. my Eyes she Just wanted sperm to create me. I look at her as a breeder, my dad sleeps with many woman, Makes me feel like Im a mistake. So I have a Hard Time to Love them. Now If God loves Us, I don't Know, If noone seeked his face like me, And desire all his Rightessness, no one cares about him, I think The Jesus is a great Gift, Its like He loves U so much, even If U don't love me or my Rightessness, sending Christ made it easir to get into heaven. now another thing that states there is no love in U, exept mysteryly, writen in the word of God. the higest Goal in Life is the of Love, or the Greatest to desire is Love. that's I Beleavne Love, Just there is No love,

That is an excellent movie, I've watched it about 3 times now. I'll probably watch it again in future. Although the characters were fictionary, the time that it was set in is real, but history now.
