Same thing Girl!!!!!

I struggle with the same questions- I'm convinced there's a difference!!
For example- I am able to cook a whole chicken in a crock pot in 6 hrs on high- it comes out perfectly! Tried doing the same thing in a slow cooker- (ingredients in, set on high, covered for 6 hrs) and the chicken was barely done 6 hrs later. The discovery happened by accident, just before I was going to serve dinner. (oops!)
I find that the slow cooker is beneficial to use if you plan on using it for AT LEAST 8 hrs before you eat. A crock pot can cook in quicker time.

A slow cooker, also called a Crock-Pot®, is a countertop electrical home appliance that is used to cook stews and other dishes containing water at relatively low temperatures, with correspondingly long cooking times of many hours. Many recipes simply require ingredients to be put in the pot, with little preparation. The slow cooker can then safely be left to run unattended, making it a convenient cooking method.

Yes - basically the same thing.

Crock pot is short for "crockery." Originally, crock pots were made from heavy porcelain-type material. Now they're made of plastic and metal.
