Be cautious..I am a man but there's no need to fear me, however other men I know are scum. You have to take it man by man..some are trustworthy and good but some aren't, especially young men. Hope this helps. Later.

A general fear of men? Are you afraid of your dad? Are you afraid of male relatives? Do you think all men want to hurt you? Maybe too much of the typical male stereotype has been put on you? Men are just people like women. You have no more or less to fear from them than anyone else.

hello, I am going to make a comparison. I'm not saying men are dogs now. But, say for instance someone had a fear of dogs, it could be just because they were not used to being around them. So possibly, the more they would be around them, the more they would understand them and the less they would be afraid of them. It is easier to be afraid of what we don't understand. I would recommend that you just hang-out with friends men and women with no expectations, just to have fun. I am sure that it will get easier for you. Just don't try so hard. Be yourself and I'm sure they will like you for who you are and it will get easier for you--good luck.
Quote:
I have not ceased being fearful, but I have ceased to let fear control me. I have accepted fear as a part of life, specifically the fear of change, the fear of the unknown, and I have gone ahead despite the pounding in the heart that says: turn back, turn back, you’ll die if you venture too far.

You could go to a psychiatrist, and they will tell you to talk about it. Like, when did it start? Does it only effect you when you are talking to the man face-to-face? Is it a fear that us men will hurt you, or a fear of embarrassment in front of us, or just a nonspecific irrational feeling of fear? If its just fear of embarrassment, almost everybody feels that way about the opposite sex to a degree. Tell me (or at least tell somebody) more about this; sometimes just talking makes it lessen.

you might need some therapy there, you could of been traumatized by men when you were real young and not even know how its emotionally catching up with you now, or, in a past life you could of as well had serious issues with the what men did to you... you really ought to resolve this, men are really quite wonderful, so long as they keep their mouth shut. â¥

I am scared of men too. I make myself invisible to them. I make me unattractive to them. But friends wont agree. How to deal with it? we can think of men as girls? I'm comfortable with girls. Let's be friendly with men. Let's not think of us as possible dates for them. Let's just think simple. Let's not complicate matters. But I am finding answers why Im afraid of men too. I keep avoiding them all my life. I will read some answers from others too to help me see what kind of person I am, normal or abnormal.

First, determine what causes your fear. Then, confront it and realize how silly it is. They are people just like your girlfriends. I'm also willing to bet you're more intelligent than many of them. Stop lowering yourself to them and consider yourself their equal.
