because you have pale skin ,you would just want to stick with blonde highlites.anything as a darker shade will make you look worn out and more pale.

The real question you want to ask...is what do you want to have?
This rule applies to clothing as well..
It's not your hair that wears you...you wear your hair.
Meaning...are you confident? Are you wanting a dramatic change or a subtle change?
I have the same type hair and pale skin aswell....I have been every color possible and have pulled off each one, even the crazy colors.
If you don't like it....you can always change it again.

hmmm i would usually say blonde highlights but as u have fair skin im gonna suggest instead of having highlights, why not have some low lights, will be in darker shades of red n purple shades, i know it sounds weird but looks really nice on light brown hair.

There are so many to chose from nowadays. For best results go to salon and explain what you like. They can mix up variations for you. toffees and caramels are nice but you would have to prelighten if you want to go more than 2 shades lighter

I think natural blonde highlights would look nice but nothing trashy and peroxide like.
