If so, did it help? I'm thinking of using one to help with my dog's hip dysplasia pain. Before I do, I'd like to get some feedback from dog owners that have used one.

Actually, I would try a dog massage therapist before a chiropractor. I have not personally used a chiropractor, but I would say be careful. Make sure the person doing the work is well qualified and experienced. If not done properly, chiropractics can be extremely dangerous. The last thing you want is a seriously injured dog.

Yes, I have - for one of my greyhounds who has calcium deposits on his neck which caused so much pain he was almost screaming. He had a couple of chiropractic treatments in conjunction with laser acupuncture. I believe that the 3 acupuncture treatments did the most good for him. The chiropractic treatment was to re-align his spine which was out due to him compensating for the pain from his neck. He had 3 acupuncture treatments and he's been totally pain free for going on 2 years now - so I know they worked! If your taking your dog to a holistic vet, why not ask about the benefits of acupuncture too?

Yes! For a deformed front foot in a chihuahua. Also a holistic vet and acupuncture. Both helped a lot more than the cortisone the regular vet wanted to put her on!

Yes, i went to one and he didn't help at all (he had experience with humans, dogs and horses). I do have a couple of people that have dog chiros and they love them so I'll probably try again with a new one.
